Legalizing cannabis would make it easier to reach out for help for substance abuse and mental health - it'd help to reduce the stigma around it.

Although purchasing cannabis could influence mental health, it influences mental health in a negative way.

Yes, many people use it and it isnt going to stop making it illegal and forcing people to hide and sneak it is just wasting energy and can be a mental battel on them

Mental health and substance abuse should be topics started in early education with age appropriate lessons about personal responsibility vs escapism, normalizing seeking help for overwhelming situations, and knowing signs of distress and trusted places to turn for help. And people facing arrest for mental health and drug related consumption crimes should instead, first, be offered medical services and rehab and counceling unless they are acting violent/ a public safety risk

I believe it will be hard no matter what because it will just be a different drug at certain points.
